Do you need to drop any ticks at all? I mean i dropped 8 points on my 5th place run and my whammy was pretty bad overall.

I've hit the first squeeze having x12 coming out of the whammy. Optimal on slowhero shows x16. The run I had was x00 so I was still missing 12-16 crucial points.
Small point gain on hold on loosely. Could've tied chris for 5th on a different run but missed 200.

Okay I finally managed to prove to myself that the timing window for 80's is ~100ms (presumably GH2 is the same).
I made this .gif of a video run I had of the BB solo strums in practice.
Note how the streak doesn't break until after the 2nd note passes the line. Now since this is 24th notes at 199 bpm, there is roughly 50.3ms between each note.
This is weird thought because I really didn't think the timing window would be this big, earlier I thought it was 1/12th of a sec but I guess I'm an idiot! Anyway this was fun  Also notice how when I hit the last on the last frame I have 0 streak :D
You guys probably already knew this but for me it was pretty fun to see atleast.

This was actually pretty cool, crazy to see how late it takes for the streak to break even 2 notes later.

Turning Japanese:
I found the squeezes really easy for some reason on this song although my ticks on 3rd act sucked.
Hold on Loosely:
I only played this like 3 times, so can definitely do better.
The Warrior:
Only tried for the NI squeeze so didn't actually improve my score at all.
I Wanna Rock:
Now this is the song that ate up my time, I mean wtf is this. I never got the 1st act squeeze, only got the 2nd act squeeze ONCE and the last two activations I actually managed bigger squeeze sometimes.
I don't know how to get decent early whammy on those first phrases at all

Pretty good week. Probably my favorite of the three weeks so far. I still really want to get 270k on I Wanna Rock but other than that, really satisfied with the scores.
I did only a lad so far and it's pretty fun to squeeze. Aside from Kram getting the extra squeeze its just ticks to go for.

Ok the whammy bar on my guitar died so i could not do week 3, although it suddenly came back to life so i did both week 3, 4 and 5 now.
Week 3 Tier 3: String Snappers (55th)
Holy Diver: 340,112, FC (54th)
-200 on 1st and -400 on 2nd act (back and front).
I can get both of these so 600 more possible.
Turning Japanese: 279,649, FC (61st)
I can get 600 more, The path i used says to get 1200 more, but i suck so not gonna happened.
Hold On Loosely: 313,490, FC (81st)
Lost a chord i can easily get.
The Warrior: 250,530, FC (51st)
I can get the 2nd act, but not easily. This is still top 100 so i'm happy.
I Wanna Rock: 265,964, FC (79th)
No path, but still top 100, last time i tried playing with path my whammy bar died. Don't wanna try again.
Week 4 Tier 4: Return of the Shred (30th)
What I Like About You: 371,136, FC (49th)
Old score (So i can improve, but won't.)
Synchronicity II: 335,740, FC (70th)
Can get 600 more and maybe 800 if i hit the back-end in the last act.
Ballroom Blitz: 294,829, 380NS ,98% (45th)
Strummed at the strum limit instead of using hopos (if i can't FC i can at least hit as many notes as possible). Lost back-end on 4th act.
Very happy with this.
Only A Lad: 297,994, FC (58th)
Horrible ticks.
Round And Round: 298,768, FC (29th)
This is a new FC for me (24/30). Lost a squeeze, but other than that i am pretty happy with this. (can maybe get 400 more if a have a great run).
Week 5 Tier 5: Relentless Riffs (33rd)
Ain't Nothin But A Good Time: 320,300, FC (51st)
On a great run i could possibly get another squeeze, and i lost 140 in ticks.
Lonely Is The Night: 332,236, FC (47th)
Old score (So i can improve, but won't.)
Bathroom Wall: 284,692, FC (65th)
Can easily get 200 more and a lot of ticks.
Los Angeles: 370,572, FC (1st)
Too easy.
Wrathchild: 230,159, FC (54th)
I'm pretty happy with this.
All in all i can do better on most songs and some pretty easily, but i am concentrating on top 100 to start with (except if there is a songs that is really fun to play) so i am pretty happy since i got top 100 on every song in the Tiers.
Did Tier 5 since my whammy actually worked.
Tier 6 is gonna be a pain for me, but looking forward to it

Stop playing practice right now, grind out real runs. I only FCed 1b twice in practice the last 2 weeks but I decided to just spend a whole day for the FC, and it worked (actually I was lucky since I only spent 1 hours 30 min of real runs that day when i got it, was planning to spend over 6 hours if I had to)
EDIT: actually I'm worried if I will be able to get top 5 overall, since I'm worse at squeezing than both fingerquick and raylancloss so both of you will pass me soon. This only means I must be able to pass monkeyman which also is unlikely considering I only win against him on 4 songs the first 4 tiers >.>
Oh and if adamhero is going for overall 1st then I'm in big trouble since then I must pass fug to guarantee top 5 spot
