Quick question: would it be better to use the 1st sp during the main riff or during the flurry of 3-note chords? _________________

I used a calculator, with each "note" being 1. The main riff with 2 phrases added up to around 70, but the tri-chords with 3 phrases added up to about 100. But remember, there are more SP phrases to think about, so what's worth the most points at that time may not be the best SP usage. _________________

i think if you use the first sp at the 3's and then activate after the next 2 during the verse/chorus (i never know what theyre called) and then activate after 3 during the chords before the faster part with the greens.. i wish i could explain it better but i hope you get the idea. what it comes down to is 3-2-3 _________________

My SP path:
Get the first two and use it immediatly. Get all the star power from there, past the acoustic break, where the lyrics are "No one can destroy the metal, the metal will strike you down with a vicious blow". The moment you start doing the riff at the beginning again, activate the star power. Get the rest of the star power from there, and then as soon as you start doing the fast strumming and chord part (near the end), activate it. |

not mine but saw it on a top 10 vid:2-2-2-2
2-immediate
2-immediate
2-immediate
2-before run of greens and chords make sure it hits that but experiment with chords before that _________________

i dont know about the actual path but i do know that the first activation, after you get the second SP.......hold onto it until where you see the (RY) chord followed by the orange strum note......after that you'll see the
......activate right after the blue note, your SP will last till the end of the chords right before the next SP section....if you cant understand that i'll try and explain a little more clearly
i tried out the 2- immediately and this one and this is worth atleast an extra 400 - 800 depending on your squeeze capability
heres a link.....a pic i made of my first activation.....sry for the crumby paint work lol.

with mine i'm in 9th at the moment.........so i do know that my beginning most likely helped out a little cause it brought my score from 286, 266 to 286, 666......so my path did add an extra 400 points to my score _________________

EDIT: since you can't early whammy, here's a new path. The squeezes are possible but if the new timing window is different then who knows.

To my understanding, early whammying does nothing in GH3. |

Wouldn't using the last activation a little earlier, like at the G-R-B-O... HOPO sequence just before the fast green notes, be worth a couple hundred more points? _________________
