Background/Notes:
I'm trying to compile a relatively accurate tiering of the drum charts, more for informative purposes than anything else as the game doesn't do this for us.

I've made a rough draft so far, but a few things to note:

1) I've only played most of these once (watched youtube vids to try and remember)
2) People are good/bad at different things/beats
3) Opinions are like ........ everyone has one and I'm not trying to make a conclusive list
4) Only applies to expert, but probably translates to Hard as well
5) Tiers 1-3 are sort of... well not a lot of effort there at all as most of it could just be lumped into "easy"
6) Also tiers are sorted alphabetically, sorting by song is a bit extreme, unless we wanted to sort T6 to figure out what the actual hardest song is
7) 6 tiers seemed like enough, I'd probably add a 7th for consistency with RB2 if stuff like Good Mourning, Visions or Blinded by Fear made it's way over, but as of now I don't feel any of the on disk stuff warrants that Evil Smiley icon from RB (Assassin is probably closest)

I can add DLC as it becomes available and people update this thread. I don't have any DLC yet and probably won't get much.

Uhm, WHOA, nice.

I'll let you know how I feel about these when I finish the drum career.

I'm in progress in the Expert career so I don't have a lot of feedback just yet, other than to say I'm not sure Muse should be above Tool.

I can comment on the Hard career (not that I imagine many people care =P) and say that the final tier would be something like Demolition Man, Soul Doubt, Trapped Under Ice, Vicarious, Never Too Late, Assassin, and Pretty Vacant. I'm just going off my note % on my spreadsheet here. Demolition Man was actually my last 5-star because they take out every 4th bass pedal, meaning you have to be thinking "1-2-3-rest" all the time in addition to doing complicated yellow patterns and cross-pad rolls.

Now, I should say that by last 5-star I mean it took me 2 tries instead of 1. But I think that tier makes sense for someone who is just progressing through Hard with no prior experience (I also play Expert, though I'm not that great at it).

Hot for teacher is cake after the beginning and simple fills.

I think you are quite mistaken. If you replayed the charts then I think you would realize that Assassin is very difficult. The snare and crash symbol and bass part is just ridiculous. Most of tool is VERY doable besides the endings. You may remember the song being very difficult because of its crazy ending.

Personally I'd put both Pull Me Under and Trapped Under Ice ahead of B.Y.O.B (not technically last tier but ahead of it nonetheless).

Aside from that, holy crap nice work on it.

Obstacle 1, I can't get my brain around that part at 2:45 that is a 30 second snare/bass/crash part, it feels like a mini-foreplay (which I always sucked at and still do), but yeah outside of that the song isn't hard. Bumped it down a notch cause this is probably just me being bad and not taking time to learn that part (haven't had to take anything on disc in GHWT or RB2 into practice, so there's something here that just isn't clicking for me). I'm predicting a lot of people failing at that part?

Bumped up Hot for Teacher a tier.

Created a T7 for stuff that is actually "impossbile". I dont' think anything on disc earns that title yet.

Not sure about moving BYOB down? I failed that song about 8 times in a row, at the same part (where the F are you "blast") just from losing tempo. It's possible to fail out from a full meter in less than 1 second which is pretty incredible, I think a lot of people will struggle to pass this once or consistently? Dream Theater and Metallica were both easy sightreads for me, BYOB I hadn't played in RB and owned my face until I found the beat in the blast, but again, it's all personal strengths/weaknesses.

Any help with the unassigned tracks?

Up Around the Bend is Tier 1, for sure. Easy song.

Personally, I'd bump Trapped Under Ice UP a tier, that song is insane. SO MUCH BASS DRUM. Maybe that's just me and my terrible foot chops though.

I think we got crazy foot chops from the Disturbed Pack? =/

That pack melts legs :O

I think Trapped for Ice, is foot chops, but no goofy foot stuff like Blackened or Peace Sells?

so i finished through the drum career and this seems to be pretty right. assassin is definetly the hardest song everything else is pretty easy. obstacle 1 is that hard honestly it should be 4 tier or at the bottom of 5 tier other than that it was awesome

Additional feedback on the unranked songs:

Hollywood Nights - probably Tier 4, long song at breezy tempo with 3 bass hits per measure and the pattern of yellows changes up a lot and each red is a double-hit rather than a single.

Aggro - probably Tier 2, has that swing feel to it but nothing particularly hard (you can one-hand the clusters of seven greens).

Pretty Vacant - probably Tier 3 - mid-tempo punk song with lots of bass but not a very hard song overall.

Haven't played the other two just yet.

Also I think Spiderwebs oughta be moved down to 2, it's pretty easy overall - I only missed two notes first run.

Edit: Maybe switch Spiderwebs with The Kill, which I think is harder than 2. The main pattern has offbeat stuff in it and the chorus when he starts screaming has a bunch more offbeat stuff including some double-bass hits.

I'd put * Jimi Hendrix - “Purple Haze (Live)” on a higher tier.
