Even though the guitar looks more realistic than the GH guitars, it sounds like the second set of frets will make the solos easier and thus the game easier. How will single player work? I doubt I'll have any friends that want to play drum or sing more than they will want to play lead or bass. And if you have 3 friends that will consistently be able to get together and play this game through, why not start a real band instead?
I'll still most likely get a 360 and this game. |

I'm looking forward to this, but I just can't help but feel disappointed about the drumkit.
As a person who always goes to an arcade that actually has DrumMania, I'm used to the 5 Pads + Bass.
(For those who don't know what DrumMania is, pic below.)
After seeing actual confirmation in the form of your review Sluggo, I just feel a little disappointed in having to use a 4 Pad + Bass drumkit. Oh well.
This doesn't make me any less excited about Rock Band though. Although I still need to get a 360, but I planed on getting one even before Rock Band was announced. |

i think i'm the only one not completely excited about this game. i just think this time they've taken it too far in the music gaming world. _________________

Sometime in the next few days, I'm going to add some bits to this post about my playtime that might be a little too granular for a general preview, but would be of interest to the Scorehero crowd. For now, though, all I have to say is: start saving your money. It's Guitar Hero + Drum Hero + Karaoke Revolution + Band Hero = awesome. I can't wait to see what kind of Scorehero supergroups spring up when it's released. |
Wow I hope I can get a job like that when I "grow up" (Im turning 16 in august, yay!) How does somebody break into that kind of industry anyways? Heh, you can see where this is going
Anyways, it is REALLY cool that they fixed the recoil from the guitar when you actually pick it. also, is the base guitarist a really boring job? compared to the other instruments?
And one more thing (This is an indirect question from my friend), when doing the vocals, can somebody with a naturally deep voice do high notes, or will they be challenged? Thanks for your time! _________________

Rock Band AND GH3 demos were at the XBOX Canada 07 Tour... apparently the strum bars on the guitars are horrible for RB... _________________
