While I see very little reason to like rap, even I can have some fun with the old school hip hop stuff. I mean, how can you not get a little kick out of some Beastie Boys? lol

@ evilpacman
Just about everything you said in that rage rant was wrong in every way, shape and form. You should probably take a time-out from Scorehero for like a day.
Also, I fucking hate Kanye West, but will check out the others mentioned. And no, I don't just hate him because he's a gigantic douche. I find zero value in listening to his music. I would actually rather listen to Lil' Wayne.

My dad was a Breakdancer in the 80's, and was really into rap and hiphop. So am I know, because of that. Give me any 80's rap song and I'll happily sing along to it. Nowadays, I like Kanye West for his musical ability. Not necessarily songwriting or anything but the beats and frankly his version of Golddigger was pure genius, in my opinion.
However, I've played guitar for 5 years too and your comments, while obviously trolling, are ridiculous. Each genre has merit as far as I'm concerned, even if I can't see it myself (I'm looking at you R'n'B and heavy screamo metal stuff). _________________

That's a heavy assertion. Do you have any evidence? _________________

While I like Metal/Rock more than Rap/Hip-Hop, I like Atmosphere Just as much as other Metal bands I like. Some of you guys should take a listen. Although he can't really compare to Biggie or 2Pac, he's defintely in a group of his own.

Wow I linked a lot of songs. And I love how this turned from someone (most likely) trolling, to a discussion about Rap haha.
EDIT: Yeah I remember Busdriver from Tony Hawk's Underground soundtrack. That guy is awesome. _________________

I find your lack of Dr. Dre and N.W.A. disturbing. _________________

I kinda like rap. It's a different kind of music experience if you compare it to say metal, but both are enjoyable in different moods/moments.
Rap is pretty much perfect for ending the day, before going to bed of while under the effects of alcohol and such. The "flow" or a rapper is such an incredible musical... 'thing'.
The Flow, imo, is like the headbang factor of metal. If I don't feel like headbanging or running into walls screaming, it's not a good metal song. The flow is harder to describe, but you get my pooint.
Also, so fucking what if somethings doesn't take talent or effort? Some lucky dude could find the most epic metal riff by pure luck. Going to your fridge using your feets is so much easier than using your arms to walk, so what? Am I going to skip the easier path because it's so effortless? _________________
