Guitar Hero 3 Squiz School

Well, yes it is, I suppose.

Since I FINALLY have a guitar that doesn't drop ticks or overstrum, I want to once again work on my GH3 scores, since it's the only game where I really actively went for FC's. I'm currently about 130th place on 360, and I want to at least get in the top 100, maybe top 75 if I actually learn to squeeze decently. As always it would be more fun with competition, so if anyone wants to work on their GH3 rank as well, you can join this rivalry and compete to get the best ranking of the rivalry.

This rivalry is open to everyone, hope to see some fellow learners of the school of squeezing!

I did all my GH3 FCs with no squeezing skills, and it does get annoying seeing all the big numbers... I'm about 190th at the moment, I think?

can i join this on a casual basis? because if so, id like to join. however, school has suckked recently and i havent even played gh in months, but with winter break then finals (my hs is on a block schedule), im hoping ill have more time to get back into this stuff. however, i dont expect that ill be able to get scores in every week, which is why im not sure if you want me in this.

meanwhile, before school took over my life, i was really trying to get better at gh3 squeezing. i had a few "good squeezes" (41st on reptilia, optimal (~200th about 100 people tied +8 pts of me) on bulls on parade, 130th on minus celsius), but i really want to improve my gh3 scores and try to get in the top 50 on ps2 (im 79th now). i think that a rivalry would really push me to go back and do some of those "annoying" squeezes.

so, its up to you, if you dont care that i probaly wont submit every week, than id really like to join this!!

IIRC, I'm 180th or so for PS2, and somewhere in the 200-300s for Global.

I'm not going to be a big-time player, but it's nice to have a little something to light my fire every now and then.

I'm on PS3, which is renowned for being very under-populated, so I'm actually 9th on my console. This translates to 192nd overall

But I'm missing between 2-5k on like every song, which adds up over all 70.

My best scores at the moment are 94th on School's Out, 41st on Black Sunshine, 74th on NotB, and 75th on Mauvais Garcon.

And that's bad considering I've FC'd all but One and TTFAF.

You really don't need to squeeze to reach top 100, nor top 75 on XBox. I'm 36th XBox (61st overall) and I can assure you that I haven't squeezed like 65/70 songs. Most are simply FC with a path, and good scores on TTFAF and One.

I usually lack motivation for reFCs, but if this can give me some... sign me up!

I'll be able to participate for a few weeks, then I'll see if I can continue when school starts again.

I wanna get in the top 100 for gh3 too, and my reduxed scores are meh.. not to mention a few chokes that would have me at 66 FCs instead of 61 and an overstrum (CoP lol how is that possible)

Great to see such a positive response! Now that we have some members, we'll go ahead and get started. The roster is always open so more people can still join, of course. As I said, this is a casual rivalry, so what I think we'll do is work on a song each week, like most rivalries, but there won't be a due date for scores. Instead of that, you can just post the best score you get in this thread, and then everyone else will try to beat it, and they can post their scores in this thread after that (this also means that you can come back to our first song later in the rivalry, and squeeze it again to have the highest score in the rivalry for that song!). As always scores you got before this rivalry do not count, so you'll need to re-squeeze in order to post scores. Because this is casual, I didn't really have plans for an intricate leaderboard, but if someone else wants to keep track of what scores everyone gets, we could have a "Total Score," ranking system, where your scores on the songs we've done are added up, and the top score wins.

Digest that ugly paragraph, if you have ideas, let me know, and let's get started.

Let us begin with Kool Thing, since that's a fun one to squeeze (even if you have to play with your TV on mute.....)
