During fast, long-lasting series of double bass kicks I pretend I'm playing both bass notes instead of just every other one that's charted, and I end up just stomping my feet to the beat of the song. I look like an idiot doing it and I've been laughed at several times but it's the only way I can hit these parts. Has anyone else tried this? Are there any more effective, less embarrassing methods I can use? _________________

haha...welll do what you gotta do dude. when i play the guitar sections, i really get into it and move around, cuz it seems to help me get more notes if i move around as though im actually rocking. my sister says im a loser for doing it, but i dont care. its how i do good. and its how i have fun |

Exactly! Don't listen to her. Guitar Hero was made for people to rock out. _________________

I do the same thing...I think it's my Tae Kwon Do training though...lots of emphasis on getting your entire body into motion and getting "equal and opposite reactions" going. The more of your body that is moving, the more fluid the motions. _________________

I stamp both my feet at the same time for songs like Overkill and Trapped under Ice because it helps keep me on time. |

Ya I find that when I'm playing fast bass runs my left foot randomly starts tapping along with the beat and I can't stop it. My philosophy is, whatever you have to do to hit the notes, do it! _________________

It's like when I play Pinball I half to always hit BOTH flippers at the same time.
If I try not to, I get confused.
You can try to learn how to not do it, but if it doesn't work, it really doesn't matter. It's not a big deal(in my eyes). _________________
