Maximizing your score help

I've been playing Guitar Hero for a long time. But only recently have I gotten into it again and this time around playing more seriously. I've been trying to increase my rank on score hero which is done with FC's and high scores. I've spent a lot of time reading through the forums trying to figire out the best way to get higher scores, and it's helped, but I just can't get where I want. For example I've been trying to score above 270k on Closer, (a very easy song) to test out SP Paths and practice squeezing. I've FC'd the song probably 100 times in a row now with Qaszimon's SP path, and trying to squeeze my ass off. But I'm still about 10k short of the top players on score hero. So if anyone has tips or reasons why I might be coming up short I would love some help.

You're probably not using the optimal path. For the old school games always use this website: http://slowhero.moto-coda.org/
